Designer Spotlight: Nicholas Kirkwood

Attention! Attention! Everyone NEEDS to know who Nicholas Kirkwood is, like, yesterday. This British, statement shoe designer has worked with the likes of Phillip Treacy, Rodarte, Ghost, Erdem, and Pollini. He is known for his use of unique materials such as python, shaved stingray, and hand printed leather. I felt like I absolutely needed to share my love for him when I found myself literally gasping for air after seeing his Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
Here are some my obsessions:

Can you even handle this?!

It's Hump-day!

"I'm gonna make you girls a hump-day treat!"

Ahhhh it's Wednesday again, that day of the week when you realize you are totally over school, your job, or just life in general and begin the countdown to the weekend. Here is a little shot that should tide you over until friday (or thursday) night!
The Barbie Shot

  1. 1 oz Malibu Coconut Rum
  2. 1 oz Absolut Vodka (but if you are a diva on a budget really any vodka will do)
  3. 1 oz cranberry juice
  4. 1 oz orange juice
Mix everything together and you have one adorable little drink! Feel free to treat this as more of a sipper but if you are my kind of girl you will knock one back and shake up another one. Bottoms up Barbies!

It's a Snood, duh.

Winter trend alert Divas! It is all about the "snood." What the F is a snood you ask? Well, Vogue describes it as, "that tidy circle of yarn or fur that fits securely around your neck leaving no entry point for winter's punishing temperatures or howling winds." In other words...an infinity scarf. Either way, it is both fabulous and functional for those of us who have to endure  a harsh winter. Here are some of my favorites:
Pieces
Madewell
Lanvin
Vince
The fun thing about snoods is that you can add them to any ensemble to make it cozy and chic! Put one over a chunky sweater, boyfriend blazer, or an open jacket to heat up your look. This international fashionista, Allison, is an adorable example in her faux fur snood while casually lunching in Japan (obviously).

So, now that we all know what the hell a snood is and how to wear it, it's time to go find the one that speaks to you. It IS possible to be toasty warm and fab! Take that winter!

Helloooooo Fabulous!

Hi everyone! For those of you reading this that don't know me, my name is Sigourney and I am currently living in Lillehammer, Norway with my boyfriend for the hockey season. I love fashion and I love a good cocktail, so I thought I would merge those interests together and make this blog! I will be sharing style tips, fashion trends, local observations, and drink recipes. So when you are in need of a sip of style, or something a little stronger, you know where to go. Cheers bitches!
